Weddings

My little sister got married today. Claire and Richard Parsley were married at Martham Church at 12 o'clock with the reception held at The Oaklands Hotel, Norwich. The day went really well, starting with the ceremony and followed by dinner and speeches at the hotel and the evening buffet and disco. Claire looked really good in her white dress and the bridesmaids, groom, best man, ushers and the rest of the party looked the part too. The speeches were all rather soppy, but the meal was good and the evening was fun. Claire and Rich have gone to Sorrento, Italy for their honeymoon. The only real bad point about the evening was the amount of times people asked Boots and I if it was our turn next. Er ... not telling! I've got loads of pictures which I'll try and get online at some point.

Finally, thanks to Webbo, whose house we stayed in for a couple of nights 'cos things were a bit hectic at Mum and Dads.

Norwich City 1 Coventry City 1

First game of the new season and one that was supposed to be played at Coventry's new stadium. Unfortunately, they've not finished building it yet so we let them swap and play at Carrow Road instead. And all rather predictably, we sang 'you're supposed to be at home' at them. Ho ho ho.

No real changes in season ticket personnel around me. Had a chat with everyone and the general concensus of opinion is that we're going back up as Champions. Bob was quite disgusted when I told him I thought we were only going to make the play-offs; don't think it's going to be quite as easy as everyone's making out. The game itself was rubbish - Ashton scored for us, Adebola scored for them. And that was about it really. This is going to be the only live game I get to see before David comes visiting so it was a bit of a shame it was such a bad one. Things can only get better.
